Back to School Resources (Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance, DBSA)

Description:

Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) - People who have mood disorders can more readily achieve wellness when they recognize the symptoms and understand the issues related to this spectrum of conditions. Written in plain English and crafted in consultation with both peers and leading clinicians, DBSA educational materials help people with diagnoses and their loved ones to know what mood disorders are, and what can be done for treatment and management.

Back to School - The Mood Crew has created a series of back-to-school resources to help children adjust emotionally and address concerns related to making friends, studying with classmates, and learning new subjects. Follow along as the Mood Crew expresses their feelings about going to school and spark conversations with your child about handling emotions.

Time to Go Back to School - As a parent or caregiver, you know how back-to-school time can be full of emotions for children, teens, and young adults. It can also be challenging as a parent or caregiver, especially if your child will need accommodation in the upcoming school year. Taking an active role in your child’s education is important and by advocating for their support, you can make a difference in their school experience.
