The Metropolitan Washington Ear, Inc.- free services for blind, visually impaired, and physically disabled people who cannot effectively read print.


This organization’s volunteers read newspapers and magazines to people who can no longer read because of blindness or another disability. Listeners hear readings broadcast via a special radio station (clients receive a special radio for free) or through a dial-in phone service anytime. Publications include the Washington Post, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, People Magazine and many more.
