Autism Society Central Virginia

We are celebrating over 30 years of non-profit services, advocacy and support to families and professionals involved with autism. We are the local affiliate of the national Autism Society of America that was founded in 1965.

We provide 5 core services to maintain and increase the quality of life for everyone:

Information and Referral – Contact us by email or phone for local resources and general information about autism and the services and programs we provide.

Support – We are committed to the ongoing support of individuals with autism and their families, at any age and any stage.

Community – The ASCV’s vision is to increase the quality of life of everyone living with ASD by building autism friendly, inclusive communities.

The Autism Society Central Virginia (ASCV) provides direct services and supports in the following cities and counties in Central VA: counties of Chesterfield, Hanover, Henrico; and the city of Richmond. The ASCV also serves the following counties: Dinwiddie, New Kent, Powhatan, Amelia, Prince George, King William, and Goochland; and the cities of Petersburg, Colonial Heights, and Hopewell through member activities. However, we provide information and referral and welcome members from all areas of VA not currently served by the Tidewater and Northern VA Affiliates. We do our best to provide resources and information and referral services to anyone who contacts us.

Advocate – We work to make real, lasting system changes that improve the lives of all affected by autism.

Educate – We host and promote opportunities for individuals and family members to meet, attend workshops, share resources and experiences, and receive the latest information on topics related to autism.
