Description:

Virginia Department of Juvenile Justice - The Reentry, Education and Intervention Division is responsible for meeting the needs of youth committed to DJJ by providing them with quality education, treatment and rehabilitation and reentry supports to create a seamless transition to the community.

The Reentry, Education and Intervention Division is composed of:

  • Education – Responsible for providing quality instructional practices and programs to improve student performance.
  • Intervention – Responsible for providing health and wellness practices through medical and behavioral health services with the goal of returning youth to the community in an overall improved state of health.
  • Reentry – Provides reentry services to youth returning to the community from commitment to include preparing young people for meaningful careers in the community, through workforce development opportunities.
